According to the Guidance on Promoting the Development of General Aviation Industry issued by the General Office of the State Council in 2016, general aviation industry has been positioned as strategic emerging industry. By the year of 2020, the target of forming a fleet of five thousand aircrafts, two million flight hours, the economy scale of one trillion would be reached and a number of competitive general aviation enterprises would also be established. The development of general aviation industry will have entered its prosperity period.

By the end of 2018, two hundred and two domestic general aviation airports have been certified, the total number of registered general aviation aircraft have reached to a figure of 2,495, while the 937.1 thousand flight hours of general aviation have also been completed in the whole industry. However, in 2017, there have been 230,000 general aircrafts in the United States. This gap of nearly ten times has also demonstrated a valuable historic opportunity, which requires the staff in civil aviation to strive for it.
